On completion of my Gold DofE award, I just had to complete my ICV's (International, Community and Values) For my International, I attended an International Jamboree at Essex in 2016 and completed my Explorer Belt Award in September 2018. For my community, I also helped the scouts collect harvest donations to give to the salvation army to distribute. I also did a litter pick with the Cubs at Jubilee Park. For my values, I took the cubs to a Hindu Temple and followed that up with a cub activity on Hinduism. I also helped new cubs complete their membership badge, teaching them the scout handshake and the promise and law. The best bit about my QSA was taking part in the Explorer Belt Award in France/Belgium, this was a trip of a lifetime and a lot learnt about WW1. |

On completion of my Gold DofE award, I just had to complete my ICV's (International, Community and Values) For my international, I had to run 12 activities for cubs and beavers which includes flags, cooking, international badges, Olympic, games from a different country, carnival. For my community I did was help run 1st Thrapston scout group set up and help run a stall for Irthlingborough Christmas fair and Rushden Christmas fair. For my values, I had run 6 activities for the cubs which i took them to the Hindu temple and mosque and explore different faiths I also got to do the membership badge teach the cubs the promise and the law. The best bit about my QSA is completing my gold dofe as it was lots of fun especially expedition spend it with the people you know and having a great time that I will remember for the rest of my life. |
