Northamptonshire County Scout Council Constitution
One of the actions the County Executive agreed was important for 2017 was the finalising of the Constitution for the County.
A constitution is a set of fundamental principles which describe how an organization is governed. The County has got along for many years using the guidance contained within chapter five of The Scout Association’s publication, Policy Organisation and Rules (P.O.R.) However, by using those rules and adding our own elements we can ensure that everyone is very clear on what the charity’s purposes are, what the roles are within it and how it should be run.
The final Constitution is available here and members of Northamptonshire County Scout Council adopted it at the AGM on the 9th September 2017.
